[edit]Prefixed adi- + *yuswa, from Javanese yuswa (ꦪꦸꦱ꧀ꦮ, “old”), from Old Javanese yuṣa, āyuṣa, āyuṣya (“life”), from Sanskrit आयुष्य (āyuṣya). Compare to Indonesian usia (“age”).
