There is a multilingual dictionary of medical terms at:
http://allserv.rug.ac.be/~rvdstich/eugloss/
The author's main page is at http://allserv.rug.ac.be/~rvdstich/ and his email address is Robert.VanderSti chele@Rug.ac.be (with a space in it - I don't know if this is supposed to be there or not). Could someone contact him and ask if we may copy the translations on his website to Wiktionary? -- Paul G 10:25, 22 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- I asked him. I can do it in Dutch, since he lives in Flanders like I do. Now, I'm curious how he might react. I proposed to refer back to his site on the talk pages of the entries we create. Polyglot 12:38, 22 Apr 2004 (UTC)
- Thanks, Polyglot. Let's see what response we get. There is a precedent for quoting source material of this kind in the appendix on chemical elements. -- Paul G 13:00, 22 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Plurals
[edit]Is it appropriate for a suffix to have plurals listed? I can see how that's useful, but we should never create entries for red links like -itides, since they are not themselves suffixes. Equinox ◑ 21:37, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
- -itides changes the pronunciation of the singular /-ˈaɪtəs/ into /-ˈɪtədiːz/ JMGN (talk) 16:53, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
