S. Punnekkat

Sasikumar Punnekkat is a Professor in dependable software engineering at MDH and the leader of the Dependable Software Engineering research group. He has more than 15 years industrial experience as a scientist at the Indian Space research Organization, and was the Head of the Software test and reliability engineering. He was recipient of the prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship and was awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science by the University of York, UK in 1997 for his research on schedulability analysis of fault-tolerant systems. He was the Director of BITS-Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus during Mar 2015-Aug 2016. He is the coordinator of large EU-funded projects EUROWEB, EUROWEB+ and EURECA, for research and educational collaboration between Europe and Western Balkan/Asia. He was the program director of the Master Programs in Software Engineering at MDH. He has a lead role in several EU/national research projects such as InSecTT, DAIS, SUCCESS, FiC, FORA, SafeCOP, SafeCer, Retnet. His research interests include multiple aspects of Real-time Systems, Dependability, and Software Engineering. Dr Sasikumar Punnekkat has over 150 research publications in international conferences and journals (including 5 best paper awards). He is a senior memebr of IEEE and had been member of several Program commitees such as QoSA, HASE, DATE, SRDS, QSIC, RTCSA, SRDS, EFTS, RTiS,CONSEG, QUATIC.
