It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 17th ACM ASIA Conference on Computer and Communications Security 2022 (ACM ASIACCS 2022). ASIACCS 2022 takes place in Dejima Messe Nagasaki, Kyushu Island in Japan.

Planning for ASIACCS 2022 began more than one year ago as a physical event in Nagasaki of Japan. However, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and the travel restrictions, it was decided in early 2022 that the conference will be hosted also together virtual online as a "Hybrid conference". It is the first time for the "Hybrid conference" to be featured in the history of ASIACCS. At the time of this writing, registration is still going on, over 40 overseas authors/participants have finished registering as in-person.

Despite the change to the hybrid conference, this year's conference continues and extends its tradition as a premier venue for researchers and practitioners to present and discuss the latest security and privacy research. As in the past, the conference program also includes poster presentations and pre-conference workshops on specific subjects. To create a more interactive virtual and in-person experience for all participants through this challenging period, we also prepared an online method to provide the participants with additional social networking opportunities.
