e-ASIA Joint Research Program: development of an international collaborative informational system for emergency situations management of flood and land slide disaster areas

Published: 01 November 2022 Publication History

Abstract

The project "Informational system for management of flood and land slide disaster areas using a distributed heterogeneous robotic team" was initialized within international e-ASIA Joint Research Program and gathered research teams from Japan, Russia, and Thailand, each contributing unique experience and expertise toward achieving common research goals. Based on our experience in different disasters response research, theoretical and practical, we developed a concept of a joint international operation framework for a disaster site management using distributed heterogeneous UAV/UGV/UUV/USV robotic teams. This paper introduces the results of the successful 3-year project, including approaches, models, and algorithms, and refers a reader to corresponding research papers for further details.
