Determination of the number and distribution of charging stations for electric vehicles

Published: 30 July 2020 Publication History

Abstract

As the sharp rise of the number of motor vehicles and the consumption of fossil fuels, energy shortage and environment pollution have become serious problems for human. The promotion of electric vehicles turns out to be a significant measure to maintain the balance between energy consumption and environmental safety. However, an important factor constraining the widespread use of electric vehicles is the scarcity of charging facilities. In this paper, we establish a Multi-Objective programming model to China to carry out a case study, and perform a series experiment to acquire the number of charging stations required by Hangzhou in 2020, which is 472. The optimal number of charging stations in Xiacheng district is 11 and they are distributed in locations such as Yintai Square, Jiali Center and so on.
