Emerging Platforms in 3D for Art and Cultural Heritage: Applications and Advancements in 3D Imaging for Conservation, Research and Engagement

Published: 25 September 2024 Publication History

Abstract

This work introduces Emerging Platforms in 3D for Art and Cultural Heritage, an interdisciplinary approach to advancing ultra-high-resolution 3D imaging for art conservation, research and engagement. In presenting a more intimate and detailed digital display of art objects than what can currently be offered in-person, this approach unlocks a deeper level of public access to art and cultural heritage. Furthermore, this work illustrates the promise and value of advancing 3D imaging in Cultural Heritage and the Arts.
