NanoMedView: A mhealth visualizer app for nano communication networks

Published: 20 September 2023 Publication History

Abstract

There are many visions for the use of nanotechnology and in particular nanocommunication for medical purposes. The presented mobile health application NanoMedView was created as a real tangible example to aggregate and process health related data from an in-body nano network in order to visualize the results enriched with metadata to a user in a comprehensible way. The application can potentially be used by a diverse user group and has therefore gone through a user centered design process based on DIN EN ISO 9241-11. This includes potential users in the development process at an early stage in order to incorporate wishes and suggestions and to realize an application that is as user centric as possible. The native mobile app NanoMedView was realized for the operating systems Android and iOS, developed with the framework Flutter in the programming language DART. In addition, an initial study on the apps acceptance among potential users gives a good indication of which requirement gap NanoMedView could close in the market.
