Interacting with Object-Oriented Program Slicing

Abstract

Object-Oriented Program Slicing was introduced by Law and Maguire [1,2]. On the basis of Object-Oriented Program Slicing, C++ Object-Oriented Program Slicer [C++_OOPS] was developed to assist programmers locate program faults. Technical investigation of Object-Oriented Program Slicing and the design of C++_OOPS can be found in [1,2]. This paper provides a discussion and analysis of programmers' views towards using C++_OOPS. Users generally agree that C++_OOPS assists high-level debugging, yet a more user-friendly C++_OOPS environment could definitely be more beneficial.
