The qualitative impact of using LEGO MINDSTORMS robots to teach computer engineering

Published: 01 February 2003 Publication History

Abstract

Teaching introductory programming skills and embedded systems design to undergraduate engineering students in a variety of disciplines requires delivering the teaching content according to their learning styles. This paper describes how the LEGO MINDSTORMS robots were introduced as hands-on educational technology for computer engineering and provides student feedback measurements on the effectiveness of using the LEGO MINDSTORMS robots.
