Opinion Evolution Model Based on the Node Influence on the Internet

Published: 24 April 2015 Publication History

Abstract

According to the characteristics of information dissemination and user interaction on the internet, a discrete time model, which is based on the node influence, is proposed. In the model, every node has the opinion and the influence which is defined as the weight of network, these nodes will redistribute the weights and update their opinions during the each period. The simulation results show that this model can emulate the interaction and the convergence characteristics of the nodes' opinions accurately. Besides, the results could provide the reference for the prediction of opinion evolution.
