Demo abstract: Fusion of audio and image information for efficient object detection and capture

Published: 13 April 2009 Publication History

Abstract

Wireless sensor networks are rapidly evolving from their early roles of networks returning simple scalar measurements into a wide variety of new applications requiring the processing of more complex signals such as audio or video. Given the resource and bandwidth constraints frequently present within sensor networks, new research questions are now arising as to how to deal with this type of information within the network.
