Enteromorpha Prolifera Monitoring System Based on Air-Ground-Sea Multi-Source Information Fusion

Published: 12 June 2024 Publication History

Abstract

Enteromorpha prolifera (EP) blooms pose a threat to marine ecology. Remote sensing and buoy observation techniques are common monitoring methods, but they both have limitations. In this work, an EP monitoring system integrating air-ground-sea multidimensional information is introduced to obtain high spatial and temporal resolution and multidimensional ocean information. The drift trajectory of EP is corrected using time-series remote sensing and measurement data; and the EP growth status (EPGS) is categorized based on the features collected from drifting buoy swarms and remote sensing data. The analysis results show that the system can classify EPGS into growth period, outbreak period, and extinction period, and realize the correction and display of EP trajectories.
