The Spatiotemporal Differences and Driving Factors of The Coupling Coordination Between Digital Economy and High-Quality Development in The Yellow River Basin

Published: 28 December 2023 Publication History

Abstract

This paper constructs an evaluation index system of digital economy and high-quality development. Based on the coupling coordination model, the degree of coupling coordination between digital economy and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin is measured, and explores the spatio-temporal differentiation and dynamic evolution of the coupling coordination between digital economy and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin by combining the Dagum Gini Coefficient and kernel density estimation method. Using the Geographic Detector, we explore the driving factors of spatial differentiation in the coupling coordination between digital economy and high-quality development from both internal and external aspects. The results show that the coupling coordination of digital economy and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin as a whole and the three regions has improved during the sample period, but there is still much room for improvement. The coupling coordination of digital economy and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin has the problem of regional imbalance. The main source of difference is inter-regional difference, followed by intra-regional difference, and finally, intensity of transvariattion. Third, the absolute difference degree of coupling coordination between digital economy and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin shows a decreasing trend in general, and there is a significant polarization phenomenon in the Yellow River basin, and there are different degrees of right tail. Fourth, the spatial differentiation of the coupled coordination between digital economy and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin the result of different factors working together. Whether it is internal or external driving factors, the impact of the interaction of driving factors is far greater than the result of the single action.
