MKNK2 as A Prognosis-Related Biomarker for Gastric Cancer

Abstract

Gastric cancer is a deadly disease with low survival rates around the world. Even though specific drugs based on molecular biology studies of gastric cancer and improvements in how gastric cancer is treated have been made, the survival rate for people with gastric cancer has not changed enough. In this study, MKNK2 was looked at and reviewed using a public online database. It was found that gastric cancer has low levels of MKNK2. When MKNK2 was highly expressed, the prognosis for people with gastric cancer was better. Also, MKNK2 may have something to do with how the immune system gets into gastric cancer. This study shows that MKNK2 could be used to treat gastric cancer, and it lays the groundwork for more research into how gastric cancer is treated at the genetic level.
