SMap -OBET analysis method based on standard literature

Published: 15 October 2024 Publication History

Abstract

Standard literature is an important part of scientific and technological literature, with distinct characteristics of determining technical routes, clear methods, clear indicators, and widely accepted and applied in the industry. However, few people have delved into the analysis of the technological development trends included in the standards. This article adopts the International Classification for Standards (ICS) as the basis for dividing standard literature, and conducts research from the perspectives of overlay analysis based on standard structure maps (SMap OVA), matrix analysis (SMap BCG), evolutionary analysis (SMap EVA), and topic analysis (SMap TMA). A full-scale SMap OBET standard literature analysis method is constructed from ICS’ classes to single standard literature. Conclusion drawn from analysis: 1) a full-scale SMap OBET standard literature analysis method had been established and practiced. 2) During the 11th, 12th, and 13th Five Year Plans in China, the six countries have developed popular and unpopular areas for standard setting. Among them, there are 21 categories of ICS in the stable stage, 17 categories in the active stage, 2 categories in the derivative stage, and none category in the mature stage in China, indicating that the overall release time of China's national standards tends to be younger. Among them, "75 Petroleum and Related Technologies" of ICS is located at the bottom of the "stable period", indicating that the national standard themes involved in this category are highly active but have the smallest difference from the world's same themes, and there are more standards adopted in this category, that is, China has more follow-up standards in this category. 3) The hottest standard development organization in Chinese standard development contribution index is China Electronics Standardization Institute, from the standard structure map, we can find that the standards involved in development are relatively concentrated.
