Checking the Key Factor and Robustness of the Chinese Education System

Published: 12 October 2022 Publication History

Abstract

Education is an essential issue for any country at any time. It is believed that education is the soul of a country. In this document, we take the complex network approach to explore the main factors that influence the sustainable and healthy development of the Chinese education system. A total of 67 factors that influence primary, middle, high school, and undergraduate education in China from 2000 to 2020 were collected. The 67 factors as nodes and edges were constructed with the threshold of the person correlation coefficient between factors, and then we build the Chinese education network. The results show that the entry rates from junior high to senior high school and the enrollment of primary to junior high school are the fatal factors in the Chinese education system. The document then proposes three ways to improve the quality of China’s educational system.
