Rise of Online Cockfighting Derby in the Time of New Normal for Gamecock Players: A Measure of Stress in the midst of COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract

As of today, Filipinos are now in the time of new normal to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and its new variant. This paper tackles about the measure of stress for those people who plays Online Sabong. In this paper, researchers utilize the Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and Self-Affirmation Theory (SAT) for the development of the research framework of the study. The researchers, gathered 174 valid samples who plays the said online game. We could see in the result the factor loadings of our model wherein we found out that the self-worth impacted the stress level of a player which has the biggest patch coefficient. We also show here that the model fits our data giving the result of index is within the values (GFI = 0.769, CFI = 0.604, AGFI = 0.694, TLI = 0.53, IFI = 0.612, RMSEA = 0.146, CMIN/DF = 4.685).
