Light Aberration Correction in Line-of-Sight Determination of Space-based Optical Sensors

Published: 16 June 2018 Publication History

Abstract

There are many factors that affect the accuracy of space-based optical sensor sight determination. Considering the relative movement of the target and the sensor, the concept of light aberration is introduced and the model of light aberration in sight determination is established. First of all, the cause of the light aberration is analyzed. Then, the influence of the light aberration on the determination of Line-of-Sight is simulated and analyzed by taking the ballistic missile as an example. It is found that the error of the light aberration can be up to 7 ". In high precision measurement, this error needs to be taken into account.
