Abstract

In1 order to meet the practical application requirements of the polling control system, an asymmetric exhaustive service polling control system was proposed. The arrival rate of the packets, the service time and the switch-over time are all random variables of the polling control system. The mathematical model of the system was established by the combination of Markov chain and probabilistic generating function, the partial deviations of the system were analyzed, and several important system operating parameters such as the average cycle, the average queue length and the average waiting time and throughput were analyzed. The theoretical calculated values were approximately consistent with the simulation values, indicating the correctness of the theoretical analysis method. Compared with symmetric exhaustive service system, asymmetric exhaustive service system is more suitable for multi-access in practical applications.
