The digital readout at the crossroads: the gaps of documentary heritage

Published: 14 November 2013 Publication History

Abstract

The information and communication technologies are meaningful changes not only in the volume of information and documents, but also in the way and the agents that produce and how it is organized, managed and consumed. The various programs of UNESCO, ministerial decisions and initiatives of different countries expressed the need and the difficulty of keeping documents in the digital environment, where you need to strike a balance between the need to preserve everything and the possibility of do so with the necessary guarantees.
