Prawn Masala Fry (Dry style)
This is an extremely simple dish. It is basically a side dish and goes well with rice and some curry. At my home, we have it with Daal Chawal combination. My Mom and my Nana used to prepare this dish, it was a treat for us and we loved having it as a snack or a side dish. There are very few ingredients used in this dish and can be prepared in minutes. So if you are looking for a delicious side dish, this will be your go to recipe.
- 500 gms Prawn (washed and cleaned)
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp Corriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Roasted Cumin Powder
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper (Crushed) Use 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder if you don't have Crushed Black pepper Powder
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt According to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 tbsp Coriander Leaves For garnishing
- Add all the spices, salt and lemon juice to the Prawns and mix well
- Marinate the Prawns for about 15 minutes
- Heat Oil in a Pan and fry the Prawns for about 1-2 minutes until it changes colour on medium heat
- Now increase the heat and fry the Prawns until it is well coated with the Masala and the Oil surfaces
- The Prawns are ready and you may garnish it with some coriander leaves
- These Prawns can be eaten plain, with Rotis or as a side dish with any of your curry and rice dishes
