‘The Wizard Of Oz’ & ‘The Sound Of Music’ Created A Safe Harbor For Young Heather Graham & Led Her To A Fine Career: The Film That Lit My Fuse

Heather Graham video interview on her influences

In films like Boogie Nights, Drugstore Cowboy, The Hangover, Austin Powers and many others, actress Heather Graham exudes a vulnerability to go with a confidence. Here on one of the final installments of The Film That Lit My Fuse, Graham discusses finding an early refuge from a dysfunctional family and abusive father in films like The Wizard of Oz, and The Sound of Music. Her love of those films, as well as ones like The Godfather, Sophie’s Choice and the John Hughes catalog, sparked an interest in acting that has led to a long and distinguished career in studio but mainly independent films. Her latest is the just-release A Place of Bones, where you can watch her bring hell to the outlaws who invade her ranch in 1876.
