It is a good learning opportunity for children to develop their pincer grasping skills. According to the lecture notes, one of the principles of Reggio Emilia’s approach is bringing the outdoors in. (Locke, 2023, Slide 11). It is a Reggio-inspired learning opportunity because the twig provided in the learning opportunity comes from nature. It is also an age-appropriate learning opportunity for infants and toddlers because it can enhance fine motor skills related to their milestones.
