Since brat summer is long gone, this is my dostoevsky autumn 🍂

I’m still grieving. Yes, still. I made it until almost lunchtime today before I was forced stop, and consciously think about it. My better half arrived home carrying a cellophane-wrapped bundle of sunflowers; as I felt the weight of their green stalks in my hand, I looked down at the driveway asphalt, and tried to will myself to hold it together. To hold the line before everything in me succumbed to sadness. Today would have been my dad’s 68th birthday. I didn’t want to make a fuss about it…

A client writes in with a question regarding her long-term relationship which ended abruptly in November. She asks whether he's gone for good or whether there's hope for reconcililation

Time keeps marching on, and we're powerless to stop it. However, people have been doing a good job of capturing fleeting moments through photographs, allowing us to relive memorable events or experience ones we might have missed.

Every atom of me missed him.
