One Thousand Libraries 📖 on Instagram: "✨This German literary treasure called the Munich Law Library is located within the city’s Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall), which was built between 1867 and 1908 by Georg von Hauberrisser in a Gothic Revival architecture style. With its ornate spiral staircase and elegant wrought-iron railings, the library is a visual feast, reminiscent of the grandeur of a bygone era - or something of a bright and warm forest in which you can enjoy the magic of literature. The railing on the great spiral staircase is rendered as vines and leaves, with the light fixtures repeating the same motif, giving the impression they are growing straight from the wall. A true magical place that - thankfully - is open to the public to admire. 📸: @lumadeline #1000libraries #lib Visit Munich, Law Library, Gothic Revival Architecture, Germany Munich, Literary Travel, Revival Architecture, Iron Railing, Gothic Revival, One Thousand
