Dumvati is seventh amongst the ten Mahavidya, the manifestation of goddess Parvathi. She is portrayed as an ugly and old widow who is allied with foreboding things in life. Goddess dumavati possess exceptional powers and often travels on a riding a crow or horseless chariot during the chaturmas periods. Dhumavati is composed of smoke and contains all potentials within her. Thus, she is also recognised to be the provider of supernatural abilities.
