This reproduction was made during the VI International Congress for the History of Medicine held in Leiden 1927 at the Exposition d'art Medico-Historique and is described as Dessin [Drawing] 51, Squelette de la main, in the exhibition catalogue. The original drawing is held by the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam.

This cast was created from the CT scanned and 3D printed hand of a living person. This fully articulated hand with stand is an extremely detailed and unique reproduction. Note the small sesamoid bones (small rounded bones embedded in tendons, usually located near joints) located on the distal portions of the metacarpals. Compare this cast with the life cast from the same hand, LC-17. This cast would be an excellent example for studying the anatomy of the human wrist and hand.
