1900s under-petticoats were shorter than top petticoats for easier walking. For my short Edwardian lace petticoat I used a bedsheet and lace from my stash.

Currently I am drafting a 5-gore underskirt or petticoat, with dust ruffle and flounce, according to instructions in the 1911 textbook, Textbook on Domestic Art. It has been an interesting process.
