BMW Z4 made by stone replica chills in Beijing's art district

BMW Z4 made by stone
Art speaks, indeed, more clearly and loudly than words do. It speaks to different people through their mind’s eye and has different interpretations for different people, depending on their imagination. Here is a BMW Z4 that many art lovers can take as an unusual wrap from far as M-Coupist and world traveler Eric Brum did when he first saw this replica in Beijing’s art district. But when approached the car, he found that it was entirely made out of stone and mortar. But surprisingly, this BMW Z4 full size replica is complete with interior and windows. Unfortunately, we don’t have any info as to who and why built this but this is surely an amazing piece of art that will mesmerize the onlookers.

Phantom has a rare sense of scale and occasion that makes it a truly modern interpretation of a Rolls-Royce. The grille and Spirit of Ecstasy immediately mark out Phantom.
The 2:1 wheel-to-height ratio is fundamental to this as are the coach doors. The gentle downward curve of the roofline and upward sweep of the lower body line suggest movement even when the car is stationary.
Just as Phantom's presence is quietly authoritative, the delivery of power from the direct-injection V12 engine is equally impressive. At 70mph over 90% of the power is available in reserve, making for effortless acceleration.
Combined with the electronically controlled six-speed transmission, pressing the accelerator gives the driver a feeling of smooth, endless acceleration from standing or at speed.

Even more impressive from the outside and more spacious inside, the Phantom Extended Wheelbase offers a further 250mm of legroom for rear passengers. With a choice of the best in contemporary communications technology, it's anindulgent space - perfect to work in, to sit and think or just watch the world pass smoothly by. Thanks to the adaptability of the spaceframe, there is no compromise in the performance or aesthetics of the car. The rear seats are set back in the car, ensuring passengers' privacy without restricting their view of the world as it passes.

Phantom's unique, advanced aluminium spaceframe is hand-welded from over 500 separate parts, with over 100 metres of weld. Incredibly light but strong, it is both stiff and dynamic. When combined with the state-of-the art suspension technologies, it creates the air-cushioned 'magic carpet ride' that is unique to Rolls-Royce. The double-skinned flat floor of the spaceframe conceals much of the technology, making it conspicuous by its apparent absence. This adds to the calm, quiet ambience inside by isolating passengers from road noise and the flat floor leaves plenty of space to stretch out.

6. McLaren F1 production car

Driven by Jonathan Palmer the McLaren F1 production car achieved the crown of fastest production car in 1994. The McLaren F1 set a speed of 231 mph (371.8 km/h) in 1994 to become the world’s fastest production car but surpassed this record in 1998 with a speed of 240 mph (391 km/h).

5. The Koenigsegg CCR

This automobile was the fastest production car around for less than 2 month’s when it achieved a speed of 240.7 mph (387.37 km/h) in late February of 2005. Appearing at the Geneva Auto Show in 2004 the Swedish designed car was soon knocked off the top spot by our next car the Bugatti Veyron.

4. Bugatti Veyron

With 1,001 hp and a 16 cylinder 8 litre quad-turbocharged engine the Bugatti Veyron became the world’s fastest production car in April 2005, less than two months after the Koenigsegg CCR had achieved the title. Setting a speed of 253.8 mph (408.5 km/h) the Bugatti Beyron, developed by Volkswagen, was produced in a small production run of just 200 cars.

3. SSC Ultimate Aero

2. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

This car has more horse power than the original Veyron, 1,200 hp compared to 1,001 hp for the Veyron. The car has been officially recorded at a speed of 267.81 mph (431.1 km/h) in June 2010 and 30 cars are scheduled for production. Customers who purchase the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport however will be limited to a measly 257.9 mph (415.05 km/h)!

1. Dagger GT

Set to become the world’s fastest ever production car, the new Dagger GT from TranStar is soon to be built. And when it is, it will make people squeal in delight. The car, which will be in production in the early part of 2011, is said to be able to reach speeds in excess of 300 mph (482.8 km/h) and will cost in the region of £300,000 ($454,000), which is about $350,000 more than the most expensive Tesla, just to present you with a comparison. So, if you plan on buying the Dagger, make sure you bring your fat wallet. Oh, and if you if ever want to see the Dagger in person, go travel to a trade show where it is often displayed. Chances are, there’s a fancy banner stand accompanying the car as well.

Tips for Your Car's Bodywork and Paint Job

Tips for Your Car's Bodywork and Paint Job

Many people say that you can tell much about a person judging by the kind of car he or she drives.  This belief reinforces the importance of appearances.  Just as one is judged by the clothes they wear or the haircut they have, car owners can also be critized by the look of their vehicles.  This means that having a clean and well-maintained car at all times is not an issue of vanity.  The quality of the paint job and the bodywork is crucial because of the message to conveys to the public.
So how does one care for a car’s paint job? It all begins with basic cleaning.  A thorough cleaning job goes a long way for every vehicle.  Make sure to choose a dish soap that is capable of removing dirt, pollen and other things from the surface of the car.  Remember to wash the car regularly; bird droppings and other debris may result in permanent stains.
The next step would be to remove the top layer of oxidized paint from the car.  Gently shed the car with the use of a foam compounding pad.  This procedure may leave a hazy surface but that’s alright.
Third, one should polish the car.  Doing so would eliminate that haze and make the surface glossy.  Opt for a mild polish and use it preferably with a circular polished.
After the polishing is done, waxing should be the next process.  Waxing the car causes it to look shiny; it also protects the paint job from rough climates, which causes it to fade.  Bird droppings are problematic because they have compounds which result in the deterioration of the paint job.  When the car is waxed, it is easier to remove.
With the right maintenance regimen, a car’s paint job or bodywork will be in fine condition for a long time.
