Ingredients

  1. 8 ounces (225 g) shell pasta
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil
  3. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 1 cup marinara sauce
  5. 1 cup heavy cream
  6. 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  7. Salt and pepper to taste
  8. Sliced jalapenos, for garnish
  9. Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Cook the shell pasta according to the instructions on the package until al dente. Drain and set aside.

    In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

    Pour in the marinara sauce and stir to combine with the garlic. Cook for a few minutes to heat the sauce.

    Reduce the heat to low and gradually add the heavy cream to the sauce, stirring constantly. Simmer gently for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

    Stir in the grated cheddar cheese until it melts into the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

    Add the cooked shell pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the pink sauce.

    Transfer the pink sauce shell pasta to serving plates or bowls. Garnish with sliced jalapenos for a spicy kick.

    Optionally, you can also garnish with fresh basil leaves for added freshness and flavor.
