Allhamdulilah, On 19 July 2019 first time participated in Dolmen Mall event “Mangoficient Treat“ collaborated with Pearl Continental Hotel by the Grace of ALLAH, WON it, Allhamdulilah

Lil description about dish
I wanted to do something new & creative , this idea clicked on my mind that why not create a new dish by combining East & West. Firstly I tried it at home & when all approved it,I decided to make this for the event
So it’s basically a dish when “East meet West”
I made gol gappa, filled with Mango Salsa & served with mango flavoured tangy water in shot glasses.

Ingredients

  1. Ingredients For Dough:
  2. 1 cup Suji
  3. 1/4 cup Maida
  4. to taste Salt
  5. 1 pinch Baking powder
  6. Water as required
  7. Oil for frying
  8. Ingredients for sweet & Sour water
  9. 1 cup Imli paste
  10. 1 tbsp Red chilli powder
  11. 2 tbsp Grinded Cumin
  12. 2 tbsp Grinded fennel seeds (Saunf)
  13. 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  14. 1/2 tsp Tatri
  15. to taste Salt according
  16. 1 tbsp Chat Masala
  17. Tang Mango 4-6 tbsp (or according to taste)
  18. 2 tbsp Tang Lemon Pepper
  19. 1 litre Water
  20. Ingredients for Mango Salsa
  21. Mango 1 cup (small cubes)
  22. Tomatoes 1 cup (small cubes)
  23. Onion 1 cup (finely chopped)
  24. Green chilli 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
  25. Mint leaves Few (chopped)
  26. Coriander leaves Few (chopped)
  27. 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  28. to taste Salt according

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly mix all dry ingredients, add water lil by lil at a time & knead to form a dough.(dough should b lil hard not soft)
    Rest for 30 mins, cover with damp cloth
    Knead again for 2-3 mins. (Until no suji grain)
    Equally Divide dough into 4-5 portion.
    Roll big thin puri, with the help of cookie cutters cut small rounds.
    Heat oil & fry one by one (while frying press slightly & splash of oil on puri)
    Point to be noted: Oil should be hot, but fry on medium flame.

    For sweet & Sour Water : Mix all ingredients together, keep refrigerated until serving

    Put all veggies in a bowl, lastly add lemon juice & Salt, mix it well

    Assembling

    Fill half of ur shot glass with sweet sour water.
    Take a puri, hole from Center, fill with Salsa.
    Palce it on top of short glass
    Enjoy
