This drollworthy Dessert cum Meal is a simple No Cook No Bake traditional Indian mango dessert which is quite popular in Maharashtra & Gujrat. Chilled Aamras is often enjoyed with Luchi/Poori , Roti or Paratha in hot summer days.
It takes only 2 mins to prepare a large batch of Aamras.
Adding sweeteners like sugar jaggery or honey is totally optional. If the mangoes are very sweet, then there is no need to add any sweetners to it.

Cooking Instructions

For Aamras...
Blend mango pulp with sugar and saffron strands until smooth and lump-free.
Aamras is ready.
Keep it in the refrigerator till chilled. -

For puris...
In a large bowl add wheat flour, semolina, salt, and ghee and mix everything together nicely.
Further, add water as required and knead to a tight dough. Add 1 tsp oil and knead again forming a smooth dough. -

Now roll the dough and divided it into equal portions. Make a ball of each portion.
Take a ball and roll using a rolling pin. Roll to a slightly thick thickness.
Heat the oil. Keep the flame on high.
Drop the rolled dough into the hot oil. Press until the puri puffs up and splash oil to puff up fully.
Flip over and fry until it turns golden brown.
Similarly, make all puris. -

In a serving bowl pour chilled Aamras and garnish with some kesar and Pistachio.
Served with hot puffed puris.
