We will be in Phoenix at the beginning of February, so I may get down to this WPHS event in Tucson which I have thought about attending for many years.
I have often made the drive down to Tucson in the past to visit two favorite places there. My cameras have accompanied me on those occasions to the Pima Air and Space Museum and many of the aircraft pictures I have made there are posted in a Flickr album.

I have also enjoyed visits to the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona to see the current photo exhibits. The CCP is the repository for the complete works of many of photography's greats including Ansel Adams.
Visits to Tucson invite the possibility of exploring the Saguaro National Park.

In the pre-digital pre-internet era, these camera swap shows were a lot of fun. They were often a social outlet for the guys who took suitcases of camera parts and pieces to shows around the country. And, as I recall, they drank a bit.....
The Constellation photo is a dramatic view of the triple tail. My mom and I flew on a TWA Constellation from Athens to Bombay, with an overnight at Tehran or Karachi (?). That was a long time ago.
I spent quite a bit of time at the Pima Air & Space when I lived in Arizona and also exploring the old aircraft boneyard at nearby Davis Monthan AFB. I think they still give tours at the boneyard. Fascinating place.
To Athens and Bombay in a Constellation! What a dream of a trip. I did get one ride in a Constellation, but it was just Chicago to Seattle when the jet I started out in developed some problem.
I never got to the big boneyard, but I did visit the Air and Space Museum several times, and my old cameras really liked the place.
