File:Bible, King James Version.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

The list is quite long so you can do it as per your comfort. Thank you. ShaanSenguptaTalk 02:46, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I’ll take a look at them! — gabldotink talk | contribs | global account ] 03:53, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gabldotink just a gentle reminder to finish the list. Its been more than a month now. ShaanSenguptaTalk 10:18, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Gabldotink Will you be reviewing any more? It looks like File:Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India.jpg has been reviewed by a user who most probably doesn't have the rights to do so. Also the list is pending since long. Thank you for your consideration. ShaanSenguptaTalk 08:10, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Shaan Sengupta. Thanks for notifying me about that user’s invalid license reviews; I have fixed them.
I apologize for my slowness in reviewing these images; it hasn’t been on my mind much recently. I will get more done as time allows, and I’ll try to maintain the above list as well. Thanks for your understanding. — gabldotink talk | contribs | global account ] 14:08, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Pay attention to copyright
File:Sol Levante title card.png has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request.

Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Something is wrong

[edit]

Hello @Gabldotink I see that you have successfully reviewed File:C. P. Radhakrishnan with Narendra Modi - 2nd August, 2024 - 1.png and File:Telangana CM Revanth Reddy and Telangana Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu with PM Narendra Modi - December 2023.png and some more. It is taken from X (Twitter). GODL-India isn't applied there. Also as stated above it seems like Skratata69 has made so many invalid license reviews. Also if you could continue with license review requests made by me above. ShaanSenguptaTalk 03:23, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

{{GODL-India}} says:

applies to all shareable non-sensitive data available either in digital or analog forms but generated using public funds by various agencies of the Government of India

If I understand this correctly, works published on the PMO’s official X account meet these criteria as much as they do on the website. Is there something that indicates otherwise? — gabldotink talk | contribs | global account ] 05:16, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There have been previous instances when files with source to any social media have been deleted. There are many contradictions in the licence. For example works by Ministry of External Affairs too shall come under this license. But MEA's website copyright policy says something else. So unless stated, its better not to assume that everything comes under the License. Nowhere on the social media accounts is there a disclaimer about the licence. Maybe I am not able to explain better. This contradiction might need a broader discussion. ShaanSenguptaTalk 07:39, 12 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
