Summary

[edit]
Description
English: An example word marked up in Readable English. Unmarked letters make their usual sound. Grayed out letters are not pronounced. Syllable breaks are added to words. Glyphs indicate when a letter makes a sound other than its usual sound. In this word, the Happy Face glyph indicates that the letter ‘i’ makes the sound /ee/ in this word, instead of its usual sound /ih/.
