Description
Deutsch: Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Methler, seit 1968 Stadtteil von Kamen: „Geteilt in Gold (Gelb) und Blau in wechselnden Farben oben eine beidseitig aufsteigende vierstufige Treppe und unten eine beidseitig absteigende vierstufige Treppe.“ Das 1954 entstandene Gemeindewappen entstammt dem Wappen der 1440 ausgestorbenen namensgebenden Adelsfamilie der Herren von Methler.
English: „Party per fess Or and azure counterchanging and countercolouring; above a double-sided four-stepped staircase upstairs and below a double-sided four-stepped staircase downstairs.“ The arms were granted in 1954 and are derived from 1440 extincted familiy of the Lords of Methler.
