English: Steam locomotive at Curragh Racecourse platform Preserved former Great Southern & Western Railway 0.6.0 No. 186 pauses at the Curragh Racecourse platform while working the "Coolnamona" railtour. For a later view of this site, see: N7513 : The Curragh racecourse siding (5). Built for traffic to the racecourse, these sidings branched-off the main Dublin - Cork railway line at MP27.5. Closed in March 1977, the sidings were later lifted and little trace now remains. |
