Derivative work of copyrighted poster Train2104 (talk) 14:22, 14 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Keep No copyright issues here. This is definitely not being used for commercial purposes, and it is publicly viewable and created by a public agency. epicgenius (talk) 02:07, 17 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
    • This is mostly text, with the exception of the route emblems. The emblems themselves are single letters set inside colored circles - which are not unique enough to be copyrighted, since I can duplicate those in .svg format within five minutes. The only thing that is remotely copyrightable here is the marquee design, but all of this is viewable publicly. epicgenius (talk) 17:48, 19 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Keep If anything, the image can be tagged as fair use. LRG5784 (talk) 13:50, 20 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Delete First of, the design of the "frame" is copyrightable on itself (since it i above COM:TOO), on this poster it is a composition which is also (if creative enough) also copyrightable. COM:Fair use is not allowed on Commons. And I don't think New York state agencies or companies are under any public domain law requirements, such as the federal government i. It is a poster, so it does not fall within COM:FOP#United States, so it doesn't matter if it is publically visable. Jonatan Svensson Glad (talk) 09:49, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted: Both the frame and the text have copyrights and New York state works are not PD -- they have copyrights. .     Jim . . . (Jameslwoodward) (talk to me) 10:26, 21 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
