useless duplicate of https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Freddy_2023_track.png FleurDeOdile (talk) 16:40, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose The track map uses the new colors and we can't just replace the old track map with the new colors without violating Commons:OVERWRITE. RandomInfinity17 (talk - contributions) 16:52, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
are you trying to do canvassing on this vote like on the others better color proposals? FleurDeOdile (talk) 17:17, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Maybe I shouldn't be the one to talk here since I'm not that involved in WPTC or the whole color scheme discussion, but it seems that they've already come to their decision and it'd be best to leave any objections in the primary discussion thread for the change, if it's still open, rather than attempting to delete the new tracks which seems a bit belligerent. Not to mention that your attitude in the Hypothetical Hurricanes Wiki Discord suggests that you are doing this just to stir drama between WPTC and HHW. Oppose deletion of this file, as well as similar nominations for Judy and Kevin. These files implement the new colors that were agreed upon. A bot request has been made on Commons to replace the older files with new colors, though this will take some time given the size of the task. Just as a general note, this nominator is aware of that color consensus, as he was informed of it on his talk page last night. These nominations are not in good faith. – wxtrackercody (talk) 20:55, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose It shouldn't be deleted, in my opinion, because they upload to prevent it. Commons:OVERWRITE. HurricaneEdgar 21:47, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose Just because the track is in a different color doesn't mean it should be deleted. Layah50♪ ( 話して~! ) 23:06, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose I am all for neutrality, but consensus was reached to use these colors for track files/infoboxes on WPTC talk page, so......if you have any objections about this change on Wikipedia and WPTC, please discuss it on the project's talk page instead of marking all these files for deletion, it seems a bit immature. Cyclonetracker7586 (talk) 23:46, 5 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
oh look at all that canvassing going on... FleurDeOdile (talk) 00:18, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't accuse the canvassing going on because the users voted because of their opinions. HurricaneEdgar 00:30, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not bring unsubstantiated claims of canvassing here. I am the only person that has commented here so far that offered some form of support in the color proposals, and I can assure you I haven't talked to any other person on this page. Again, you are not acting in good faith, knock it off. – wxtrackercody (talk) 00:34, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose– The unfounded claims of canvassing speak to the intent of the nominator: disruption. It should be taken in good faith that commenters were alerted to this deletion discussion through an automated notice on Cyclone Freddy's talk page, which is how I ended up here. There was a prolonged debate on the track map colors spanning over a year with a consensus finally reached during an RfC last month. As mentioned by Cody, Fleur has been made aware of this and decided to go against consensus without ever taking part in the final RfC or the original discussion in November 2021. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 02:43, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Strong oppose - There is absolutely no reason to delete this file. The file exists as there has not yet been a conclusion on whether these colours should be used on the other wiki yet. Additionally, your attitude seems to suggest that you're just trying to be disruptive or aggressively try to get your own way. While I don't particularly like this colour scheme either, it is what was agreed on. SolarisPenguin (talk) 04:27, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose I agree that this and other related nominations by FleurDeOdile have been in bad faith. @FleurDeOdile: These nominations are a waste of time for the community. Please withdraw them and find something more constructive to do.--Jasper Deng (talk|meta) 04:54, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Strong oppose - Creating a new image that's colored to the tropical cyclone scale colors isn't a reason why it should be deleted, especially when the weather community agreed to change the colors in these consensuses. Ignoring the consensus and deleting it because it looks similar to the other variant seems a bit "naive". Also considering the comments before this one was sent and your earlier contributions also show that this isn't the first time you were involved in controversy. – RedLambda (talk) 09:42, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Strong oppose - I don't see any solid justification for deletion of this image. As several other users have already mentioned, the motive for nomination in this case is transparent, and seems quite petty. AJC3fromS2K (talk) 11:17, 6 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kept. There is a clear consensus to against the deletion. (non-admin closure)--A1Cafel (talk) 10:38, 7 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
