${\bar {\mathrm {H}}^{+}}$ production from collisions between positronium and keV antiprotons for GBAR / Comini, Pauline (IRFU, SPP, Saclay) ; Hervieux, Paul-Antoine (IPCMS, Strasbourg) ; Biraben, Francois (Paris, Lab. Kastler Brossel)
In the framework of the GBAR (Gravitational Behaviour of Antihydrogen at Rest) experiment, cross sections for antihydrogen ion ( $\bar {\mathrm {H}}^{+}$ ) production in collisions between antiprotons ( $\bar {\mathrm {p}}$ ) and excited positronium atoms (Ps), with intermediate production of antihydrogen ( $\bar {\mathrm {H}}$ ), have been computed using a perturbative theory, namely Continuum Distorted Wave - Final State (CDW-FS). The results suggest to use antiprotons at 1, 2 or 6 keV with, respectively, Ps(3p,3d), Ps(2p) or no Ps excitation. [...]

$\bar{H}^{+}$ ion production from collisions between antiprotons and excited positronium: cross sections calculations in the framework of the GBAR experiment / Comini, P (IRFU, SPP, Saclay ; CEA, DSM, Saclay) ; Hervieux, P -A (IPCMS, Strasbourg ; U. Strasbourg)
In the framework of the gravitational behaviour of antihydrogen at rest (GBAR) experiment, cross sections for the successive formation of and from collisions between positronium (Ps) and antiprotons ($\overline{p}$) have been computed in the range 0–30 keV $\overline{p}$ energy, using the continuum distorted wave-final state theoretical model in its three-body and four-body formulations. The effect of the electronic correlations in $\bar{H}^{+}$ on the total cross sections of $\bar{H}^{+}$ production has been studied using three different wave functions for H$^−$ (the matter equivalent of $\bar{H}^{+}$). $\bar{H}$ and $\bar{H}^{+}$ production cross sections for the GBAR experiment / Comini, P (IRFU, SPP, Saclay) ; Hervieux, P -A (IPCMS, Strasbourg)
The production and cooling of the + ion is the key point of the GBAR experiment (Gravitational Behaviour of Antihydrogen at Rest), which aims at performing the free fall of antihydrogen atoms to measure , the acceleration of antimatter on Earth. + ions will be obtained from collisions between a positronium cloud and antiprotons delivered by the AD/ELENA facility at CERN, with intermediate formation of antihydrogen atoms. Production of antihydrogen atoms by 6 keV antiprotons through a positronium cloud / Adrich, P.
We report on the first production of an antihydrogen beam by charge exchange of 6.1 keV antiprotons with a cloud of positronium in the GBAR experiment at CERN. The antiproton beam was delivered by the AD/ELENA facility. [...]

GBAR Gravitational Behavior of Antihydrogen at Rest / Durpé, P (Saclay)
The GBAR experiment aims to test the Equivalence Principle with antimatter by measuring the time of flight of ultra-cold antihydrogen atoms H in free fall. Antihydrogen atoms at ¯ ∼20 µK are provided by sympathetic cooling of antihydrogen ions $\bar{H}^+$ with laser cooled $Be^+$ ions. [...]

GBAR: Gravitational behavior of antihydrogen at rest / Debu, Pascal (IRFU, Saclay) /GBAR Collaboration
The GBAR project aims to perform the first test of the Equivalence Principle with antimatter by measuring the free fall of ultra-cold antihydrogen atoms. The objective is to measure the gravitational acceleration to better than a percent in a first stage, with a long term perspective to reach a much higher precision using gravitational quantum states of antihydrogen. Linac-based positron source and generation of a high density positronium cloud for the GBAR experiment / Liszkay, L (IRFU, Saclay) ; Comini, P (IRFU, Saclay) ; Corbel, C (Ecole Polytechnique) ; Debu, P (IRFU, Saclay) ; Dupré, P (CSNSM, Orsay) ; Grandemange, P (CSNSM, Orsay) ; Pérez, P (IRFU, Saclay) ; Rey, J -M (IRFU, Saclay) ; Ruiz, N (IRFU, Saclay) ; Sacquin, Y (IRFU, Saclay)
The aim of the recently approved GBAR (Gravitational Behaviour of Antihydrogen at Rest) experiment is to measure the acceleration of neutral antihydrogen atoms in the gravitational field of the Earth. The experimental scheme requires a high density positronium cloud as a target for antiprotons, provided by the Antiproton Decelerator (AD) – Extra Low Energy Antiproton Ring (ELENA) facility at CERN. Proposal for enhancement of antihydrogen ion production in the GBAR experiment / Cooke, D A (Zurich, ETH) ; Husson, A (CSNSM, Orsay) ; Lunney, D (CSNSM, Orsay) ; Crivelli, P (Zurich, ETH)
The production of antihydrogen ions (H̅+) in the GBAR experiment will occur via a two step charge exchange process. In a first reaction, the antiprotons(P̅) from the ELENA ring will capture a positron from a positronium(Ps) target producing antihydrogen (H̅) atoms. [...]
