Measurement of the underlying event activity using charged-particle jets in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=2.76$ TeV / Wang, Wei Yang (Singapore Natl. U.) /CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the underlying event (UE) activity in proton-proton collisions is performed using events with a charged-particle jet produced at central pseudorapidity ($\mid\eta^{\textrm{jet}}\mid < 2$) and with transverse momentum $1\leq p^{\textrm{jet}}_{\textrm{T}} < 100$ GeV. The analysis uses a data sample collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC at a centre-of-mass energy of $2.76$ TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $0.3$ nb$^{-1}$. [...]

Measurement of the underlying event activity using charged particle jets in proton-proton collisions at 2.76 TeV / Wang, Wei Yang (Singapore Natl. U.) /CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the underlying event activity is performed in proton-proton collisionsat sqrt(s)=2.76 GeV, using data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC.The average multiplicity and scalar-pT sum densities of charged particles in the azimuthalregion transverse to the leading charged particle jet at central pseudorapidities are studied.A steep rise of the underlying event activity is seen with increasing leading jet pTup to a few GeV/c, above which a slower rate of increase is observed. Bydividing the transverse region into the minimum and maximum activity ones on eachside of the leading jet, further information on the dynamic of the UE is obtained. [...]

Recent measurement of underlying events / Wang, Wei Yang (Singapore Natl. U.) /CMS Collaboration
Recent measurements on the underlying events (UE) in the event topology of leading jet and leading track are presented. UE activities are quantified in term of particle and energy density. [...]

Underlying event and correlation results from CMS / Wang, Wei Yang (Singapore Natl. U.) /CMS Collaboration
The underlying event activity in $pp$ collisions is measured using events with a leading charged-particle jet. The activity is measured independently in the two halves of the region transverse to the leading object, containing the maximum and minimum activities. [...]

Underlying Event Measurements with Leading Particles and Jets in pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV /CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the underlying event (UE) activity is performed in proton-proton collisions at the centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the CMS experiment at the LHC. The measurement is performed using leading charged-particles as well as leading charged-particle jets as reference objects. [...]

Study of hadronic event-shape variables in multijet final states in pp collisions at 7 TeV / Bhowmik, Sandeep (Tata Inst.) /CMS Collaboration
Event-shape variables, which are sensitive to perturbative and nonperturbative aspects of quantum chromodynamic (QCD) interactions, are studied in multijet events recorded in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=7$ TeV. Events are selected with at least one jet with transverse momentum $p_T > 110$ GeV and pseudorapidity $\mid\eta\mid > 2.4$, in a data sample corresponding to integrated luminosities of up to $5 fb^{-1}$.
