20th Paris Cosmology Colloquium 2016 - DEVEGA 16 DEVEGA16 DEVEGA 2016   20 - 22 Jul 2016  - Paris, France  .-
This Colloquium is within the astrofundamental physics spirit of the Chalonge School, focalised on recent observational and theoretical progress in the CMB, dark matter, dark energy, the new WDM framework to galaxy formation, and the effective theory of the early universe inflation with predictive power in the context of the LambdaWDM Standard Model of the Universe. The Colloquium addresses as well the theory and experimental search for the WDM particle physics candidates (keV sterile neutrinos). [...]

Chalonge-de Vega Meudon Workshop 2016 - CHALON 16 CHALON16 CHALON 2016   15 - 17 Jun 2016  - Meudon, France  .-
Warm Dark Matter (WDM) is hot topic in galaxies, cosmology and implies novelties in the astrophysical, cosmological particle and nuclear physics context.Warm Dark Matter Cosmology (ΛWDM) provides the same successfull large scale results and CMB results than Cold Dark Matter (ΛCDM) and succesfully agrees with the observations at the galactic and small scales. A Turning Point operated recently in the Dark Matter research: Warm Dark Matter (WDM) emerged impressively over Cold Dark Matter (CDM) as the leading Dark Matter candidate. [...]

Lyman-alpha constraints on warm and on warm-plus-cold dark matter models / Boyarsky, Alexey (Zurich, ETH ; BITP, Kiev) ; Lesgourgues, Julien (EPFL, Lausanne, LPPC ; CERN ; Annecy, LAPTH) ; Ruchayskiy, Oleg (EPFL, Lausanne, LPPC) ; Viel, Matteo (Trieste Observ. ; INFN, Trieste)
We revisit Lyman-alpha bounds on the dark matter mass in Lambda Warm Dark Matter (Lambda-WDM) models, and derive new bounds in the case of mixed Cold plus Warm models (Lambda-CWDM), using a set up which is a good approximation for several theoretically well-motivated dark matter models. We combine WMAP5 results with two different Lyman-alpha data sets, including observations from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. [...]

Realistic sterile neutrino dark matter with keV mass does not contradict cosmological bounds / Boyarsky, Alexey (Zurich, ETH ; BITP, Kiev) ; Lesgourgues, Julien (CERN ; Ecole Polytechnique ; Annecy, LAPTH) ; Ruchayskiy, Oleg (IPT, Lausanne) ; Viel, Matteo (Trieste Observ. ; INFN, Trieste)
Previous fits of sterile neutrino dark matter models to cosmological data assumed a peculiar production mechanism, which is not representative of the best-motivated particle physics models given current data on neutrino oscillations. These analyses ruled out sterile neutrino masses smaller than 8-10 keV. [...]

Can sterile neutrinos be ruled out as warm dark matter candidates? / Viel, Matteo (Cambridge U., Inst. of Astron. ; Trieste Observ.) ; Lesgourgues, Julien (Annecy, LAPTH) ; Haehnelt, Martin G. (Cambridge U., Inst. of Astron.) ; Matarrese, Sabino (Padua U. ; INFN, Padua) ; Riotto, Antonio (CERN)
We present constraints on the mass of Warm Dark Matter (WDM) particles from a combined analysis of the matter power spectrum inferred from the SDSS (Sloan Digital Sky Survey) Lyman-alpha flux power spectrum at 2.2<z<4.2, cosmic microwave background data and the galaxy power spectrum. We obtain a lower limit of m_s > 10 keV (2 sigma) if the WDM consists of sterile neutrinos and m_wdm > 2 keV (2 sigma) for early decoupled thermal relics. [...]

Opening a New Window for Warm Dark Matter / Asaka, T ; Kusenko, A ; Shaposhnikov, M E
We explore the range of parameters for dark-matter sterile neutrinos in an extention of the Minimal Standard Model by three singlet fermions with masses below the electroweak scale (the $\nu$MSM). This simple model, which can explain a wide range of phenomena, including neutrino oscillations, baryogenesis, the pulsar velocities, and the early reionization, allows for the dark-matter sterile neutrinos to have masses as small as 0.5 keV. The inner structure of haloes in Cold+Warm dark matter models / Maccio, Andrea V. (Heidelberg, Max Planck Inst. Astron.) ; Ruchayskiy, Oleg (CERN) ; Boyarsky, Alexey (Leiden U. ; BITP, Kiev) ; Munoz-Cuartas, Juan C. (Potsdam, Astrophys. Inst.)
We analyze the properties of dark matter halos in the cold-plus-warm dark matter cosmologies (CWDM). We study their dependence on the fraction and velocity dispersion of the warm particle, keeping the free-streaming scale fixed. [...]

Sterile neutrinos with the mass in the keV range are interesting warm dark matter (WDM) candidates. The restrictions on their parameters (mass and mixing angle) obtained by current X-ray missions (XMM-Newton or Chandra) can only be improved by less than an order of magnitude in the near future. The masses of active neutrinos in the $\nu$MSM from X-ray astronomy / Boyarsky, Alexey (CERN) ; Neronov, A. (ISDC, Versoix ; Geneva Observ.) ; Ruchayskiy, O. (IHES, Bures-sur-Yvette) ; Shaposhnikov, M. (IPT, Lausanne)
In an extention of the Standard Model by three relatively light right-handed neutrinos (the nuMSM model) the role of the dark matter particle is played by the lightest sterile neutrino. We demonstrate that the observations of the extragalactic X-ray background allow to put a strong upper bound on the mass of the lightest active neutrino and predict the absolute values of the mass of the two heavier active neutrinos in the nuMSM, provided that the mass of the dark matter sterile neutrino is larger than 1.8 keV..
