Sudakov resummation of multiparton QCD cross sections / Bonciani, R ; Catani, S ; Mangano, Michelangelo L ; Nason, P
We present the general expressions for the resummation, up to next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy, of Sudakov-type logarithms in processes with an arbirtrary number of hard-scattering partons. These results document the formulae used by the authors in several previous phenomenological studies. [...]

Sudakov Resummation for Prompt-Photon Production in Hadron Collisions / Catani, S ; Mangano, Michelangelo L ; Nason, P
We present the explicit expressions for the resummation of large-x Sudakov effects in the transverse-energy distribution of prompt-photons produced in hadronic collisions, to next-to-leading logarithmic (NLL) accuracy. Fragmentation processes do not contribute to the Sudakov resummation at NLL level. [...]

Sudakov Resummation Effects in Prompt-Photon Hadroproduction / Catani, Stefano (CERN) ; Mangano, Michelangelo L. (CERN) ; Nason, Paolo (INFN, Milan) ; Oleari, Carlo (Durham U.) ; Vogelsang, Werner (SUNY, Stony Brook)
We compute the effects of soft-gluon resummation, at the next-to-leading-logarithmic level, in the fixed-target hadroproduction cross section for prompt photons. We find in general that the corrections to the fixed next-to-leading-order results are large for large renormalization scales, and small for small scales. [...]

NLL Resummation of the Heavy-Quark Hadroproduction Cross-Section / Bonciani, Roberto (INFN, Florence ; Florence U.) ; Catani, Stefano (CERN) ; Mangano, Michelangelo L. (CERN) ; Nason, Paolo (CERN)
We compute the effect of soft-gluon resummation, at the next-to-leading-logarithmic level, in the hadroproduction cross-section for heavy flavours. Applications to top, bottom and charm total cross-sections are discussed. [...]

Universality of non-leading logarithmic contributions in transverse-momentum distributions / Catani, S ; de Florian, D ; Grazzini, Massimiliano
We consider the resummation of the logarithmic contributions to the region of small transverse momenta in the distributions of high-mass systems (lepton pairs, vector bosons, Higgs particles, ....) produced in hadron collisions. We point out that the resummation formulae that are usually used to compute the distributions in perturbative QCD involve process-dependent form factors and coefficient functions. [...]

QCD at High Energies / Catani, S (CERN ; INFN Firenze ; U. Firenze)
The following topics in perturbative QCD are reviewed: recent theoretical progress in higher-order calculations; soft-gluon resummation for hard-scattering processes at large $E_T$ and high $x$; low-$x$ behaviour of structure functions and recent theoretical results on BFKL dynamics; infrared renormalons and power corrections to perturbative predictions; updated summary of $\as$ measurements..

The soft-gluon current at one-loop order / Catani, S ; Grazzini, Massimiliano
We study the soft limit of one-loop QCD amplitudes and we derive the process-independent factorization formula that controls the singular behaviour in this limit. This is obtained from the customary eikonal factorization formula valid at tree (classical) level by introducing a generalized soft-gluon current that embodies the quantum corrections. [...]

The triple collinear limit of one-loop QCD amplitudes / Catani, S ; de Florian, D ; Rodrigo, Germán
We consider the singular behaviour of one-loop QCD matrix elements when several external partons become simultaneously parallel. We present a new factorization formula that describes the singular collinear behaviour directly in colour space. [...]

Soft-Gluon Resummation for the Fragmentation of Light and Heavy Quarks at Large x / Cacciari, Matteo (Parma U. ; INFN, Milan) ; Catani, Stefano (CERN)
We present a QCD study of fragmentation processes for light and heavy quarks in the semi-inclusive region of large x. Large logarithmic terms, due to soft-gluon radiation, are evaluated and resummed to all perturbative orders in the QCD coupling alpha_s. [...]
