We report on the study of shadowing of electromagnetic fields radiated in the Terahertz (THz) region from two consecutive sources of coherent diffraction and transition radiation. In these conditions, the formation length is predicted to be $\leq$ 100 m, and shadowing effects should result in an almost complete suppression of radiated fields within distances of the order of tens of centimeters. Beam-based sub-THz source at the CERN linac electron accelerator for research facility / Curcio, A (CERN) ; Bergamaschi, M (CERN) ; Corsini, R (CERN) ; Gamba, D (CERN) ; Farabolini, W (CERN) ; Lefevre, T (CERN) ; Mazzoni, S (CERN) ; Dolci, V (INFN, Rome ; Rome U.) ; Petrarca, M (INFN, Rome ; Rome U.) ; Lupi, S (INFN, Rome ; U. We report on the radiation studies performed at the CLEAR facility of CERN in the sub-THz range, exploiting picosecond ultrarelativistic electron bunches for the production of coherent radiation. The coherent radiation, produced by different mechanisms (in particular coherent transition radiation), has been fully characterized using different techniques and detectors. [...]

Selective electron beam sensing through coherent Cherenkov diffraction radiation / Senes, E (CERN) ; Krupa, M (CERN) ; Mazzoni, S (CERN) ; Lasocha, K (CERN) ; Lefevre, T (CERN) ; Shloegelhofer, A (CERN) ; Wendt, M (CERN) ; Davut, C (Manchester U.) ; Karataev, P (JAI, UK) ; Pakuza, C (JAI, UK) et al.
We exploit the coherent emission of Cherenkov diffraction radiation (ChDR) by a relativistic electron beam to sense its position even in the presence of other particle beams. ChDR is produced in alumina inserts embedded in the vacuum chamber walls and recorded in a narrow band centered at 30 GHz. [...]

Noninvasive Micrometer-Scale Particle-Beam Size Measurement Using Optical Diffraction Radiation in the Ultraviolet Wavelength Range / Bergamaschi, M (CERN ; Royal Holloway, U. of London) ; Aryshev, A (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Karataev, P (Royal Holloway, U. of London) ; Kieffer, R (CERN ; Royal Holloway, U. of London) ; Lefevre, T (CERN) ; Mazzoni, S (CERN) ; Terunuma, N (KEK, Tsukuba) ; Yang, R (LPGP, Orsay)
We present recent achievements in the application of optical diffraction radiation (ODR) to the measurement of the transverse beam size of a 1.3 GeV micrometer-size electron beam performed with an instrument installed in the extended extraction line of the KEK Accelerator Test Facility. ODR is a recent technique for the measurement of the transverse size and emittance of highly relativistic particle beams. [...]

Measurement of the jet mass in high transverse momentum $Z(\rightarrow b\overline{b})\gamma$ production at $\sqrt{s}= 13$ TeV using the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
The integrated fiducial cross-section and unfolded differential jet mass spectrum of high transverse momentum $Z\rightarrow b\overline{b}$ decays are measured in $Z\gamma$ events in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV. The data analysed were collected between 2015 and 2016 with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 36.1 fb$^{-1}$. [...]

Measurements of top-quark pair single- and double-differential cross-sections in the all-hadronic channel in $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV using the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
Differential cross-sections are measured for top-quark pair production in the all-hadronic decay mode, using proton$-$proton collision events collected by the ATLAS experiment in which all six decay jets are separately resolved. Absolute and normalised single- and double-differential cross-sections are measured at particle and parton level as a function of various kinematic variables. [...]

Measurements of the suppression and correlations of dijets in Xe+Xe collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.44 TeV / ATLAS Collaboration
Measurements of the suppression and correlations of dijets is performed using 3 $\mu$b$^{-1}$ of Xe+Xe data at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}} = 5.44$ TeV collected with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. Dijets with jets reconstructed using the $R=0.4$ anti-$k_t$ algorithm are measured differentially in jet $p_{\text{T}}$ over the range of 32 GeV to 398 GeV and the centrality of the collisions. [...]

Dijet resonance search with weak supervision using $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV $pp$ collisions in the ATLAS detector / ATLAS Collaboration
This Letter describes a search for resonant new physics using a machine-learning anomaly detection procedure that does not rely on a signal model hypothesis. Weakly supervised learning is used to train classifiers directly on data to enhance potential signals. [...]

Performance of the ATLAS muon triggers in Run 2 / ATLAS Collaboration
The performance of the ATLAS muon trigger system is evaluated with proton$-$proton ($pp$) and heavy-ion (HI) collision data collected in Run 2 during 2015-2018 at the Large Hadron Collider. It is primarily evaluated using events containing a pair of muons from the decay of $Z$ bosons to cover the intermediate momentum range between 25 GeV and 100 GeV. [...]
