/QCD and Strong Interactions Working Group
In this summary of the considerations of the QCD working group at Snowmass 2001, the roles of quantum chromodynamics in the Standard Model and in the search for new physics are reviewed, with empahsis on frontier areas in the field. We discuss the importance of, and prospects for, precision QCD in perturbative and lattice calculations. [...]

Review of results on forward physics and diffraction by CMS
/ Baldenegro Barrera, Cristian (Kansas U.)
/CMS Collaboration
Results by the CMS Collaboration on forward physics, diffraction, and physics in the small-$x$ limit of quantum chromodynamics (QCD), are presented. In particular, results on azimuthal angle decorrelations between two jets in events where two outermost jets are separated by a large rapidity interval are discussed. [...]

Charm production in deep-inelastic e$\gamma$ scattering to next-to-leading order in QCD
/ Laenen, Eric (CERN) ; Riemersma, Stephan (Southern Methodist U.)
We discuss the calculation of $F_2~{\gamma}({\rm charm})$ to next-to-leading order (NLO) in QCD, including contributions from both hadronlike and pointlike photons. We show that the former dominates strongly below $x\simeq 0.01$, and the latter above this value. [...]
