We study the vacuum dynamics of pseudo-Nambu-Goldstone bosons (pNGBs) for $SO(N+1) \rightarrow SO(N)$ spontaneous and explicit symmetry breaking. We determine the magnitude of explicit symmetry breaking consistent with an EFT description of the effective potential at zero and finite temperatures. [...]

We investigate the discovery prospects for scalar and fermionic particles with electric charges $1\mathrm{e} \le |Q| \le 8\mathrm{e}$ that are singlet under $ \mathrm{SU}(2)_L $. We calculate lower mass bounds for open channel production mode coming from ATLAS/CMS and MoEDAL experiments, and limits from searches for positronium-like bound states (closed channel) decaying to two photons. Goldstone Boson Decays and Chiral Anomalies / Pokorski, Stefan (Warsaw U.) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (Warsaw U.)
Martinus Veltman was the first to point out the inconsistency of the experimental value for the decay rate of $\pi^0\rightarrow\gamma\gamma$ and its calculation by J. Steinberger with the very successful concept of the pion as the (pseudo)Nambu-Goldstone boson of the spontaneously broken global axial symmetry of strong interactions. [...]

Simple and statistically sound recommendations for analysing physical theories / AbdusSalam, Shehu S. (Shahid Beheshti U.) ; Agocs, Fruzsina J. Physical theories that depend on many parameters or are tested against data from many different experiments pose unique challenges to statistical inference. Many models in particle physics, astrophysics and cosmology fall into one or both of these categories. [...]

On the phenomenology of sphaleron-induced processes at the LHC and beyond / Papaefstathiou, Andreas (Amsterdam U. ; Nikhef, Amsterdam) ; Plätzer, Simon (Vienna U.) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (Warsaw U.)
We investigate the phenomenological aspects of non-perturbative baryon- and lepton-number-violating processes at hadron colliders. Such processes, induced by instanton/sphaleron configurations of the electroweak gauge fields, are believed to play a crucial role in the generation of baryon asymmetry in the early Universe at finite temperature. Proton decay testing low energy SUSY / Pokorski, Stefan (Warsaw U. ; CERN) ; Rolbiecki, Krzysztof (Warsaw U.) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (Warsaw U.)
We show that gauge coupling unification in SUSY models can make a non-trivial interconnection between collider and proton decay experiments. Under the assumption of precise gauge coupling unification in the MSSM, the low energy SUSY spectrum and the unification scale are intertwined, and the lower bound on the proton lifetime can be translated into upper bounds on SUSY masses. Search for Sphalerons: IceCube vs. LHC / Ellis, John (King's Coll. London ; CERN) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (Durham U.) ; Spannowsky, Michael (Durham U.)
We discuss the observability of neutrino-induced sphaleron transitions in the IceCube detector, encouraged by a recent paper by Tye and Wong (TW), which argued on the basis of a Bloch wave function in the periodic sphaleron potential that such transitions should be enhanced compared to most previous calculations. We calculate the dependence on neutrino energy of the sphaleron transition rate, comparing it to that for conventional neutrino interactions, and we discuss the observability of tau and multi-muon production in sphaleron-induced transitions. Search for Sphalerons in Proton-Proton Collisions / Ellis, John (King's Coll. London ; CERN) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (Durham U. ; Durham U., IPPP)
In a recent paper, Tye and Wong (TW) have argued that sphaleron-induced transitions in high-energy proton-proton collisions should be enhanced compared to previous calculations, based on a construction of a Bloch wave function in the periodic sphaleron potential and the corresponding pass band structure. Here we convolute the calculations of TW with parton distribution functions and simulations of final states to explore the signatures of sphaleron transitions at the LHC and possible future colliders. Triple Higgs boson production at a 100 TeV proton-proton collider / Papaefstathiou, Andreas (CERN) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (King's Coll. London)
We consider triple Higgs boson production at a future 100 TeV proton-proton collider. We perform a survey of viable final states and compare and contrast triple production to Higgs boson pair production. [...]

Detecting underabundant neutralinos / Badziak, Marcin (Warsaw U.) ; Delgado, Antonio (CERN ; Notre Dame U.) ; Olechowski, Marek (Warsaw U.) ; Pokorski, Stefan (Warsaw U.) ; Sakurai, Kazuki (King's Coll. London)
The electroweak sector may play a crucial role in discovering supersymmetry. We systematically investigate the patterns of the MSSM-like electroweakinos, when the neutralino relic abundance $\Omega_\chi h^2\leq 0.12$, that is, also admitting for multi-component Dark Matter, in a broad range of the parameter space.
