We present a new set of parton distributions, NNPDF3.1, which updates NNPDF3.0, the first global set of PDFs determined using a methodology validated by a closure test. The update is motivated by recent progress in methodology and available data, and involves both. [...]

Physics with TeV Neutrinos from the LHC / Rojo, Juan (speaker) (VU Amsterdam and Nikhef)
Proton-proton collisions at the LHC produce an immense flux of high-energy (up to several TeV) neutrinos along the beam (forward) direction. The breakthrough observation of LHC neutrinos by FASER and SND@LHC in March 2023 heralds a new era in particle physics. [...]

LO, NLO, and NNLO Parton Distributions for LHC Event Generators / Cruz-Martinez, Juan (CERN) ; Forte, Stefano (INFN, Milan ; Milan U.) ; Laurenti, Niccolo (INFN, Milan ; Milan U.) ; Rabemananjara, Tanjona R. (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Rojo, Juan (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; NIKHEF, Amsterdam)
We present NNPDF4.0MC, a variant of the NNPDF4.0 set of parton distributions (PDFs) at LO, NLO and NNLO, with and without inclusion of the photon PDF, suitable for use with Monte Carlo (MC) event generators, which require PDFs to satisfy additional constraints in comparison to standard PDF sets. These requirements include PDF positivity down to a low scale $Q\sim 1$ GeV, smooth extrapolation in the very small and large $x$ regions, and numerically stable results even in extreme regions of phase space for all PDFs. Illuminating the photon content of the proton within a global PDF analysis / Bertone, Valerio (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Carrazza, Stefano (CERN) ; Hartland, Nathan P. (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Rojo, Juan (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; NIKHEF, Amsterdam) /NNPDF Collaboration
Precision phenomenology at the LHC requires accounting for both higher-order QCD and electroweak corrections as well as for photon-initiated subprocesses. Building upon the recent NNPDF3.1 fit, in this work the photon content of the proton is determined within a global analysis supplemented by the LUXqed constraint relating the photon PDF to lepton-proton scattering structure functions: NNPDF3.1luxQED. The LHC as a Neutrino-Ion Collider / Cruz-Martinez, Juan M. (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; NIKHEF, Amsterdam) ; Rojo, Juan (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; NIKHEF, Amsterdam)
Proton-proton collisions at the LHC generate a high-intensity collimated beam of neutrinos in the forward (beam) direction, characterised by energies of up to several TeV. The recent observation of LHC neutrinos by FASER$\nu$ and SND@LHC signals that this hitherto ignored particle beam is now available for scientific inquiry. [...]

Improving quark flavor separation with forward $W$ and $Z$ production at LHCb / Rojo, Juan (Vrije U., Amsterdam ; NIKHEF, Amsterdam) /NNPDF Collaboration
We quantify the constraints on the flavour separation between the quarks and antiquarks in the proton provided by the recent forward weak gauge boson production data from the LHCb experiment at $\sqrt{s}=7$ and 8 TeV. Performed in the framework of the NNPDF3.1 global analysis, this study highlights the key role that the LHCb W and Z data have in achieving a robust quark flavour separation in the large-x region, including the strange and charm quarks.
