Precision matching of microscopic physics to the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) / Greljo, Admir (Universitaet Bern (CH)) ; Dawson, Sally (Department of Physics, Brookhaven National Laboratory (US)) ; Lohwasser, Kristin (University of Sheffield (GB)) ; Aebischer, Jason (Universität Zürich (CH)) ; Das Bakshi, Supratim (Universidad de Granada (ES)) ; Carmona, Adrían (Universidad de Granada (ES)) ; Chakrabortty, Joydeep (Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IN)) ; Cohen, Timothy (University of Oregon (US)) ; Criado, Juan Carlos (Durham University (UK)) ; Fuentes-Martín, Javier (Universidad de Granada (ES)) et al.
This note gives an overview of the tools for the precision matching of ultraviolet theories to the Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT) at the tree level and one loop. Several semi- and fully automated codes are presented, as well as some supplementary codes for the basis conversion and the subsequent running and matching at low energies. [...]

LHC EFT WG Note: SMEFT predictions, event reweighting, and simulation / Schoefbeck, Robert (Austrian Academy of Sciences (AT)) ; Belvedere, Alberto (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE)) ; Bhattacharya, Saptaparna (Wayne State University (US)) ; Chatterjee, Suman (Austrian Academy of Sciences (AT)) ; Calandri, Alessandro (ETH Zurich (CH)) ; Sanchez Cruz, Sergio (CERN) ; Dickinson, Jennet Elizabeth (Fermi National Accelerator Lab. (US)) ; Glessgen, Franz Jacob (ETH Zurich (CH)) ; Goldouzian, Reza (University of Notre Dame (US)) ; Grohsjean, Alexander (Hamburg University (DE)) et al.
This note gives an overview of the tools for predicting expectations in the Standard Model effective field theory (SMEFT) at the tree level and one loop available through event generators. Methods of event reweighting, the separate simulation of squared matrix elements, and the simulation of the full SMEFT process are compared in terms of statistical efficacy and potential biases..

BSM Benchmarks for Effective Field Theories in Higgs and Electroweak Physics / Marzocca, David (INFN Trieste Italy) ; Riva, Francesco (Universite de Geneve (CH)) ; Criado, J (CAFPE Granada (Spain)) ; Dawson, S (BNL (US)) ; de Blas Mateo, Jorge (Universita e INFN, Padova (IT) and Durham University (UK)) ; Henning, Brian Quinn (CERN) ; Liu, D (Argonnne (US)) ; Low, I (Argonne (US)) ; Murphy, C (BNL (US)) ; Perez-Victoria Moreno De Barreda, Manuel Maria (Universidad de Granada (ES)) et al.
Effective Field Theories (EFTs) capture effects from heavy dynamics at low en- ergy and represent an essential ingredient in the context of Standard Model (SM) precision tests. This document gathers a number of relevant scenarios for heavy physics beyond the SM and presents explicit expressions for the Wilson coeffi- cients in their low-energy EFT. [...]

Higgs boson cross sections for the high-energy and high-luminosity LHC: cross-section predictions and theoretical uncertainty projections / Calderon Tazon, Alicia (Universidad de Cantabria and CSIC (ES)) ; Caola, Fabrizio (University of Durham (GB)) ; Campbell, John (Fermilab (US)) ; Francavilla, Paolo (Universita & INFN Pisa (IT)) ; Marchiori, Giovanni (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (FR)) ; Becker, Kathrin (Albert Ludwigs Universitaet Freiburg (DE)) ; Bertella, Claudia (Chinese Academy of Sciences (CN)) ; Bonvini, Marco (Sapienza Universita e INFN, Roma I (IT)) ; Chen, Xuan (Zuerich University (CH)) ; Frederix, Rikkert (Technische Universität Muenchen (DE)) et al.
This note summarizes the state-of-the-art predictions for the cross sections expected for Higgs boson production in the 27 TeV proton-proton collisions of a high-energy LHC, including a full theoretical uncertainty analysis. It also provides projections for the progress that may be expected on the timescale of the high-luminosity LHC and an assessment of the main limiting factors to further reduction of the remaining theoretical uncertainties..

Charm Physics Confronts High-$p_T$ Lepton Tails / Fuentes-Martin, Javier (Zurich U.) ; Greljo, Admir (CERN) ; Martin Camalich, Jorge (IAC, La Laguna ; Laguna U., Tenerife) ; Ruiz-Alvarez, José David (Antioquia U.)
We present a systematic survey of possible short-distance new-physics effects in (semi)leptonic charged- and neutral-current charmed meson decays. Using the Standard Model Effective Field Theory (SMEFT) to analyze the most relevant experimental data at low and high energies, we demonstrate a striking complementarity between charm decays and high invariant mass lepton tails at the LHC.
