Updated constraints on $Z′$ and $W′$ bosons decaying into bosonic and leptonic final states using the run 2 ATLAS data / Osland, P. (Bergen U.) ; Pankov, A.A. (Gomel State Tech. U., ICTP ; BSU, Minsk ; Dubna, JINR) ; Serenkova, I.A. (Gomel State Tech. U., ICTP)
The full ATLAS Run 2 data set with time-integrated luminosity of 139 fb$^{-1}$ in the diboson and dilepton channels is used to probe benchmark models with extended gauge sectors: the $E_6$-motivated Grand Unification models, the left-right symmetric $LR$ and the sequential standard model (EGM). These all predict neutral $Z'$ vector bosons, decaying into lepton pairs, $\ell\ell$, or into electroweak gauge boson pairs $WW$, where one $W$ in turn decays semileptonically. [...]

High-precision limits on $W–W'$ and $Z–Z'$ mixing from diboson production using the full LHC Run 2 ATLAS data set / Pankov, A.A. (Gomel State Tech. U., ICTP ; Minsk, Inst. Nucl. Problems ; Dubna, JINR) ; Osland, P. (Bergen U.) ; Serenkova, I.A. (Gomel State Tech. U., ICTP) ; Bednyakov, V.A. (Dubna, JINR)
The full ATLAS Run 2 data set with time-integrated luminosity of 139 fb$^{-1}$ in the diboson channels in hadronic final states is used to probe a simple model with an extended gauge sector (EGM), proposed by Altarelli et al., and often taken as a convenient benchmark by experimentalists. This model accommodates new charged $W'$ and neutral $Z'$ vector bosons with modified trilinear Standard Model gauge couplings, decaying into electroweak gauge boson pairs $WZ$ or $WW$, where $W$/$Z$ decay hadronically. First results on precision constraints on $Z - Z′$ mixing with ATLAS and CMS diboson production data at the LHC at 13 TeV and predictions for Run II / Pankov, Alexander (Dubna, JINR ; Gomel State Tech. U., ICTP ; Minsk, Inst. Nucl. Problems) ; Bednyakov, Vadim (Dubna, JINR)
The study of electroweak boson pair production provides a powerful tool to search for new phenomena beyond the Standard Model (SM). Extra neutral vector bosons Z′ decaying to charged gauge vector boson pairs W$^+$W$^-$ are predicted in many scenarios of new physics, including models with an extended gauge sector. [...]

A Search for Z' Gauge Bosons Decaying to Tau-Antitau Pairs in Proton-Proton Collisions with the ATLAS Detector / Leister, Andrew
Many Beyond-the-Standard-Model theories predict the existence of one or more additional neutral gauge bosons, or $Z'$ bosons, with masses at the TeV scale or higher. [...]

Measurement of the time-integrated CP asymmetry in $D^0 \to K_S^0 K_S^0$ decays with LHCb

CP violation in charm has not yet been observed, although measurements of time-integrated CP asymmetries in $D^0 \to K^+K^-$ and $D^0 \to \pi^+\pi^- decays$ have reached a remarkable precision, O(0.1%). The $D^0 \to K_S^0 K_S^0$ decay is a promising discovery channel for CP violation in charm. A prediction based on Standard Model gives an upper limit for the CP asymmetry of 1.1% (C.L. 95%). Further enhancements could result from contributions from physics beyond the Standard Model. We present a measurement of the time-integrated CP asymmetry in prompt $D^0 \to K_S^0 K_S^0$ decays, performed using data collected with LHCb experiment in 2015 and 2016 at a 13 TeV pp center-of-mass energy (Run-2). This result improves the sensitivity obtained by LHCb in Run-1.

Anomalous $Z'$ and Diboson Resonances at the LHC / Ismail, Ahmed (Pittsburgh U.) ; Katz, Andrey (CERN ; Geneva U., Dept. Theor. Phys. ; Geneva U., CAP)
We propose novel collider searches which can significantly improve the LHC reach to new gauge bosons $Z'$ with mixed anomalies with the electroweak (EW) gauge group. Such a $Z'$ necessarily acquires a Chern-Simons coupling to the EW gauge bosons and these couplings can drive both exotic $Z$ decays into $Z'\gamma$ if the new gauge boson is sufficiently light, as well as $Z'$ decays into EW gauge bosons. While the exotic decay rate of the heavy $Z$ into $Z'\gamma$ is too small to be observed at the LHC, for a light $Z'$, we show the potential of a lepton jet search in association with a photon to probe the rare decay $Z \to Z' \gamma$..
